Strand of gold metallic trim decorated with multicolored plastic pieces; donated by Lucila Padron. BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE Lucila Padron was born in Puerto Rico in 1916 and moved to New York, and later Brooklyn, as a teenager. She worked in the Cappa-Espinelli garment factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU). |
