The donor, Aliki Caloyeras, writes, "Still sheltering at home as NYC enters phase 1 of reopening. Despite quarantine, protests against police brutality in the wake of the killing of George Floyd have been going strong all over NYC. And we’re seeing signs of protest and outrage interspersed among signs of gratitude to essential workers in the neighborhood. We lent our car to a group of activists we know who needed it to bring donated supplies, like water and baking soda, to the protests." |
