My photography is a study of "geometry" in life around us, finding images where visual composition adds its own content to the subject matter.
My goal is to show familiar objects in a new light creating images that emphasize harmony, rhythm and balance in geometry of lines and shapes.
I find my subjects on the streets of New York - New York landmarks, museums and ordinary places like playgrounds and amusement parks.
In my playground pictures I see the playgrounds as places from fairy tales within a dark and preoccupied adult world, places full of beauty surrounded by urban grit.
The Coney Island amusement park is still there but not for long. I wanted to save it's feel of sheer Americana - sometimes funny but often touching- for our children.
My museum pictures are visual compositions where subjects are pieces of art, people and architecture around them. My goal is to capture fleeting moments when these subjects interact, visually becoming parts of interesting compositions.
