The Packer Collegiate Institute records contain administrative records, financial records, architectural records, correspondence, student and faculty records, publications, photographs, audiovisual media, and memorabilia, dating from 1803 to 2007.

The record group contains many photographs in a wide variety of formats, including, but not limited to, black-and-white and color prints, negatives, glass lantern slides, carte-de-visites, and 35 mm slides. In addition to loose photographs, the record group includes a number of photographic albums and scrapbooks, most of which were assembled by students. The images span the history of the school, from the 1840s to 2004. Topically, the record group documents students (incuding individual portraits, class portraits, various school events, and activities), administrators and faculty, and Packer buildings.

Please note that photographs can be found in various other record groups throughout the collection.
